Why Us

In 2024, there were 20% fewer votes for Democrats in Bergen County.  Where did they go? Most stayed home, but some voted for 3rd party candidates. 3rd Party candidates received 2x the number of votes than they did in 2020. People are checked out - they're angry, frustrated, and are looking for something new.

60%

A substantial majority of Democrats that say their party needs major changes or to be completely reformed

With the political bosses running the party:
  • We don't have open primaries

  • Party members are told who to vote for in all elections

  • Insiders get patronage jobs for personal gain instead of finding the best person for the job.

  • The political bosses hand-pick candidates

  • Candidates are beholden to party bosses

From Washington to Trenton to Hackensack, the political establishment decides which candidates can run for office and where the money goes

Why it's happening

So we get:

  • A lack of accountability to the voters

  • Money not being spent wisely

  • Complacency - not enough gets done

  • Higher taxes

And we get Bob Menendez

  • You don't have a voice

  • The best people don't run for office

  • Incumbents are protected

  • Elected officials aren't delivering for the voters because they are accountable only to the party bosses.

How this impacts you, the voter

  • You don't have a voice

  • The best people don't run for office

  • Incumbents are protected

  • Elected officials aren't delivering for the voters because they are accountable only to the party bosses.

  • Listen to you - the voters

  • Be strong, independent, and ethical

  • Embrace good ideas no matter where they come from

  • Challenge bad ideas, even if they come from our own party

What we will do

Testimonials

I would like to express my support for electing Dolores Witko as County Commissioner for many reasons. From having known her as a member of the Closter School Board years ago, where she was instrumental in maintaining Closter’s status as a Blue Ribbon School system, to having had the privilege of serving beside her as a Closter Councilwoman for over five years, Dolores has the skills, qualifications, and important qualities to serve as a County Commissioner in Bergen County. I have witnessed her professionalism, follow-through, and dedication in all areas from her time on the Council.  I personally worked with her on several committees and knew that whatever she was working on would get done, whatever problems arose would be addressed, and that she brought fresh ideas and creativity wherever she could. Based upon Dolores’ years of experience, proven desire to serve her community, and

passionate commitment, I truly believe she is an ideal candidate to serve as a County Commissioner.
